Isaiah 52: "7 ¶ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion."
We have been commanded in our day to follow Isaiah's council. This is to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. For this purpose I have created this blog. I want to share with all of my brothers and sisters of this world the testimony I have of Jesus Christ and his teachings.
For those of you who have been searching. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these the latter days. God the Eternal Father and His Son Jesus Christ, in answer to a humble prayer, did appear to the boy Joseph Smith in the spring of 1820. Just like in centuries past, God anointed a prophet and the heavens were opened once again. Like Moses, Samuel, David, Jacob, Abraham, and Isaiah, Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, but this time to usher in this the last dispensation. Why do we need a prophet today? Amos 3: 7 states: "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
I know we have prophet today who leads and guides The Church of Jesus Christ. This is not a private and exclusive religion for God is no respecter of persons. In the words of Gordon B. Hinckley the current prophet on the earth, "We recognize the good in all people. We recognize the good in all churches, in their efforts to improve mankind and to teach principles that lead to good, stable, productive living. To people everywhere we simply say, ‘You bring with you all the good that you have, and let us add to it. That is the principle on which we work’.
I know Jesus Christ has atoned for the sins of this world and we must accept him and have faith. He is the way the truth and the light and mankind cannot be saved without him. It is said in scripture that he was bruised for our iniquities, that he left the throne of God to dwell with us down below. He did this because of the love He has for us. Our Heavenly Father also loves his children, In John 3:16 it says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." What a great promise for all of us!
